Bella was too quick and got in their way. Squan was able to snatch a key off of a necklace around her neck. The raven that was cawing at the window flew off and Arbane sent his cat after it. After many attempts to slip past, Bella held her ground before running up the stairs. On the way up, she reached down and knocked twice on a wooden barrel, summoning 5 Dretches to slump out of the black ichor contained within. During the fight with these gross beasts, Pip went outside, jumping up to the second story window and managing to get inside just in time to catch Bella's sister Ofallia stepping through a portal. One by one the party took down the Dretches. Squan tossed the key up to Destry and Bol as they headed upstairs. Before they could reach Bella she stepped through a portal as well.
