## All Will be Well!
After spending hours deciding how to properly decimate the Hags' bodies, the party finally set off for Vallaki, making it there midday. It was a real TSA like experience for the party, lots of questions about their names, their business there and their opinions on Strahd. Pretty much every one lied about loving strahd (with good deception checks across the board) which unfortunately was not the answer the guards were looking for; accusing them of being in cahoots with the devil Strahd. They were ready to turn the players away when Ireena pushed through the group and used her name and story to gain access for the party. They reluctantly let everyone in after briefing them of the very strict laws of Vallaki:
- None shall speak the name of "Strahd" but only refer to him as "The Devil"
- There is a festival every week, and attendance is REQUIRED even for guests.
- There will be no tolerance for unhappiness within these walls
Failure to comply with these laws can result in immediate expulsion from the town and the seizure of weapons.
After learning a couple of key locations from the guards, the group headed out to the Town Square to shop. Ireena took Lucian and Myrtle to the church, which is where she said she would be to seek answers on her next move. Reek stayed on Bea's shoulders and is just having the best time.
Arriving in the Town Square, the party saw guards taking down old flyers from last week's festival and putting up ones for this weeks festival. They also saw a few people locked in stocks wearing crude plaster donkey heads. After asking the guards about it they learned they are being punished for "Malicious Unhappiness".
Finally, the party shopped at the Broken Anvil. They met the shopkeep Dragomir Ulbrek, who kindly bought and sold armaments with the players, while scoffing a bit at their incessant use of the Baron's catchphrase they've heard around town "ALL WILL BE WELL!"**
