# Kirra'kar **The Realm of the Dwarves** Kirra’kar translates to “Dwarfcradle”, though Dwarves consider translation of proper nouns to be highly offensive. Kirra’kar is the largest of the realms in the Valley, comprising over a million square miles of breath-taking countryside, carved and sculpted by millennia of dwarven stewardship. Imperious fortress-cities and sprawling villas dot the landscape, vast monuments stand vigil over the land, and the cliffs that encircle the realm are carved with miles-high murals celebrating the history of the Dwarves. These sheer walls are honeycombed with tunnels and caverns, a contiguous city hundreds of miles long called Yaneem (”the cliffs”), the largest Dwarven city by size and population. At the heart of Kirra’Kar is the capital city of Kar’Karramesh - the Jewel of Dwarvendom. Kirra’Kar is a fertile land, its climate temperate and its weather mild (excepting the Storms, of course, which the Dwarves refer to as Atoush, which in their tongue means “Breath of the Gods”). The hills and valleys of the realm are rich in minerals, gemstones, and precious metals, which the Dwarves extract with meticulous precision. You will not hear it from any Dwarf, but it is rumoured that the Dwarflands are also riddled with relics and treasures from a bygone age; if these rumours are true, it would explain the Dwarves’ unrivalled technomagical supremacy.
