- Dwarven history from the Shrouded Epoch is closely guarded and unknown to outsiders. Their legends tell of a long period spent underground, waiting out the storms and horrors of this era.
- Dwarves are by far the most numerous of all the races, and though their realm is secluded from the rest of the Valley, they are not unaccustomed to welcoming outsiders. They prefer to emigrate and export, and consider things of dwarven make to be superior to all others.
- Dwarven culture is mostly a meritocracy, though politics are bloody to be sure. Each individual is expected to fulfil a role within their community, be it large or small. Great pains are taken to ensure that each Dwarf provides as much value as possible, and so Dwarven education and vocational training is of impeccable quality.
- Slavery of non-Dwarves is common in the Kar'Zaïr (the “Dwarven Union”, the largest corporation in the world), while slavery of Dwarves is illegal. In the greater Valley, they are afforded no such consideration. However Dwarves are notoriously difficult slaves, excelling only when afforded great freedoms - or as gladiators.
